Ultrasound

We use veterinary specialists to perform advanced diagnostic Ultrasound.

Overview

Ultrasound is a non-invasive diagnostic tool that allows the veterinarian to image soft tissues of the body.

Why should my pet get an Ultrasound?

Ultrasound is used to diagnose issues that can't be seen with normal x-rays. This would include issues involving fluid, masses, or irregularities inside soft tissue organs or systems. For instance, cardiac ultrasound can evaluate heart size, shape and functions, including valve operation, cardiac output and blood pressure.

How are Ultrasounds done at our clinic?

We use board-certified internal medicine and cardiology specialists to perform Ultrasounds at our clinic for our clients' convenience. This is a non-invasive procedure that sometimes requires sedation for your pet's comfort and safety.
