Dr. Karen McClurg is a strong believer in the human - animal bond and feels that having pets greatly increases our quality of life.  She was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado and received both her Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Colorado State University.  Dr. McClurg has been a part of the Midland Animal Clinic family for 15 years now and says that her favorite part of working here is bonding with the clients and their pets.  She finds it incredibly rewarding when clients come back to her with a new pet after the loss of an old friend.  In her free time, Dr. McClurg enjoys cycling, skiing, hiking, and camping with her husband, Bob, and three boys—Sam, Jacob, and Ben.  Her four legged family includes dogs—Penny and Chewy cats—Kitzy and Dottie.
